How to prepare
Ingredients
1 Package of Pulmuone Dumplings
For the Slaw:
- 1 small Napa cabbage, shredded
- 1 medium carrot, julienned
- 1/2 cup red cabbage, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup daikon radish, julienned
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
For the Dressing:
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) – adjust to taste
Directions
- Shred the Napa cabbage, julienne the carrot and daikon radish, thinly slice the red cabbage, and chop the green onions.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey (or maple syrup), grated ginger, minced garlic, and gochugaru
- Heat a deep fryer or skillet with about 2-3 inches of canola or vegetable oil over medium-high heat to 350°F. Fry the dumplings for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
- Toss the slaw with dressing gently until the vegetables are well coated with the dressing. Top with fried dumplings and your favorite sauce.
