How to prepare
Ingredients
- 1 package of Pulmuone Korean BBQ Style Beef Udon
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) – adjust to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Wood Skewers
Directions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, gochugaru, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the peeled and deveined shrimp in a zip-top bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the shrimp, ensuring they are well-coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors infuse.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan. Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers, leaving a small space between each shrimp. Grill the shrimp skewers over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes per side or until the shrimp are opaque and lightly charred.
- Remove the shrimp skewers from the grill. Sprinkle sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds over the skewers for garnish. Serve the Korean Garlic Shrimp Skewers hot, alongside prepared Udon Noodles (see packaging directions) and enjoy.
